Elise Stornello

Elise Stornello began their career at Green Paws Chicago in late 2022 as a pet care specialist. After demonstrating outstanding dependability, good judgment, and an immense love for animals in their capacity as a PCS out in the field on dog walks, cat visits, and in-home overnight sittings, Elise was offered a position with the Green Paws Chicago office team in 2023 and promoted to Operations Manager in 2024.

Raised vegetarian from birth and born into a home filled with six cats and one dog, Elise has always felt that animal welfare is more than a passion — it's their calling!

Elise’s passion for animal protection, animal rights, and the welfare of animals runs deep. In 2022, Elise taught themself how to safely and effectively perform TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), and soon TNR’d a colony of eight feral cats. That same summer, they rescued eight kittens and placed them into a foster-based rescue. Since then, Elise has continued rescuing and advocating for cats; helping over 20 find safety, care, and forever homes.

Presently, Elise continues to foster when they can and remains committed to giving every cat the chance to feel safe, loved, and thoroughly spoiled.
